Hello Alta High Community!

The chart below, titled “Alta Q1 Attendance and GPA,” shows the connection between student attendance and academic success. Each blue bar represents the number of students who attended school within a certain percentage range (for example, 85–90% or 95–99%), while the red line shows the average GPA for students in that same group. You can see that as students attend school more regularly, their GPAs increase. Students with attendance rates above 90% tend to earn significantly higher grades, while those who miss more school have noticeably lower GPAs.

The message is clear for students and families: consistent attendance fuels strong academic success at Alta High!!

 **Alta Hawk Stash**
As the holiday season approaches, we want to remind Alta families of The Alta Hawk Stash that can be utilized if needed. The Hawk Stash is stocked with canned and non-perishable food items, as well as a few clothing and school items for those seeking assistance to fulfill household needs. Access to The Stash can be arranged by contacting a counselor or administrator at the school.

Please see below for important announcements and dates to note.

 ✔Veterans Day Assembly
The Veterans Day Assembly is an inspiring and all-inclusive event that not only honors our nation’s veterans but increases and heightens young people’s awareness of the sacrifices of great men and women. This year, our Assembly will be held on Tuesday, November 11th.

Please join us as we celebrate all of those who have sacrificed for our great county.  We invite you to submit the form at https://bit.ly/AltaVeterans to honor any veteran from our community or your family, that you would like to honor at this event on November 11th. This year we are putting an emphasis on the veterans present at the assembly.  Photos and a write up will highlight each veteran present.
