2012 FBLA Region Competition

Congratulations to ALL the FBLA members who attended the 2012 Region Competition at UVU!   Thanks to each of you because of your efforts, Alta FBLA tied for SECOND overall!

Don't Drive Stupid

The PTSA student officers in conjunction with the FBLA kicked off their yearlong campaign to "Don't Drive Stupid."  Working with Zero Fatalities, they brought in a display showing the amount of teens who had been killed in Utah last year. Thirty-five tombstones representing these teens were set up outside the school entrance as a reminder to everyone who came and went throughout the day.

At lunchtime students were invited to sign a banner pledging that they wouldn't do stupid things while driving, but focus fully on what they're doing. as they signed the pledge they entered a drawing for fun prizes donated by Zero Fatalities and Chick-Fil-A.

Watch for monthly activities reminding everyone to "Don't Drive Stupid."

Membership

How to Join

To become a member, students can pick up an application from any business teacher, pay the $20 due in the main office, and bring the receipt and completed application to Mrs. Batey in room 2121.

If you're interested in FBLA, you should consider taking the first semester class Entrepreneurship next year!

We meet the second Thursday of every month in room 2121. Come meet some awesome new people and just have LOTS of fun!
