NORTHROP GRUMMAN ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP Applicant must be a senior graduating in 2017 who is a U.S. citizen. Applicant must plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student in an approved engineering program. Applicant must have a minimum SAT score of 1150 or ACT score of 27 and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5. All applications must include a 500-word essay, a high school transcript form, and at least three letters of recommendation. One letter of recommendation must be from their current school’s principal or the head of the math or science department. The other two letters of recommendation may be from teachers, employers, or community leaders. ACCESS SCHOLARSHIP FOR FEMALES – UNIVERSITY OF UTAH This scholarship is designed for females who will attend the University of Utah fall semester of 2017 and major in science, math or engineering. Students who are awarded this scholarship will be required to attend the seven-week University of Utah course, UGS 1430 Integrated Science during the summer of their first year at the University of Utah, which can be applied to their general education requirements. The application must be filled out and sent along with a one-page letter/essay expressing your interest in math and/or science and your career goals and an official high school transcript, including the second semester, senior year classes. All applicants must request letters of recommendation from two science and/or math teachers, to be sent directly from the teacher to the College of Science. The University recommendation forms are NOT accepted. The summer course will be June 19, 2017 to August 4, 2017.

UNIVERSITY OF UTAH METALLURGICAL ENGINEERING Applicant must complete an application, submit an unofficial transcript and submit at least one letter of recommendation. Two letters of recommendation are suggested. The letters should be from school officials, such as teachers or counselors. Applicant must plan to major in Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Utah. Scholarships are based on ACT or SAT scores (particularly math), cumulative GPA and extracurricular activities. Students who are offered scholarships usually have a minimum ACT score of 27 and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7.
